Three Mile Smile/Reefer Head Woman

(Tyler, Perry/Melrose, Bennett, Gillum)

4:55
take a walk in the warm New England sun
ain't no time to look for clues
you get the point from Uncle Sam's loaded gun
who be the hand that light the fuse
take a look, take a look at my old billy goat
he used to raise all kinds of hell
he took a dose of radiation dope
back in the barn is where he fell, like hell
Lucy, chromosome
Lucy, superdome
what makes you think you patronizin' my old friends
after you ride in my parked car
what you do when your oil's mexican?
OPEC boys you went too far, too far
Lucy, papadum
Lucy, sing the song
ah, dig it up
ah, live it up
ah, dig it up
ah, live it up
look out

I got a reefer headed woman
she fell right down from the sky
I got a reefer headed woman
she fell right down from the sky
well, I gots to drink me two fifths of whiskey
just to get half as high
when the good Lord made that woman
he sure went to town
ooh, when the good Lord made that woman
he sure went to town
well, when he was feelin' high
ooh, he sure shoulda been feelin' low

Hey dude, nice page, but I noticed you don't have my favorite song,
"Three Mile Smile"...so I typed up my transcription and here it is!

>From _Night in the Ruts_

I have most of the song down, but I haven't heard it for about a year, and I
just dug up a transcription I did from a year ago so here it is. This song is
a lot of fun to play!

Riff A - play twice

B/A B E E E B/A B E E E
e-------------------------------------|-------------------------------------|
B-------------------------------------|-------------------------------------|
G----4----4---------------------------|---4-----4---------------------------|
D----4----4----0-0-1-2-4--------------|---4-----4----0-0-1-2-4--------------|
A----0----2--------------2---2--2--2--|---0-----2--------------2---2--2--2--|
E----------------------------0--0--0--|----------------------------0--0--0--|

Then there's the drum break

Riff B - play 6 times

e--------------------------|-------------------------|
B--------------------------|-------------------------|
G--------------------------|-------------------------|
D--6--6---5--4---4--4--4---|--4--4---5--6------7--6--|
A--7--7---6--5---5--5--5---|--5--5---6--7------5--7--|
E--------------------------|----------------0--------|

Riff C - play twice

E Dsus2 E Dsus2
e---------------------------------------|
B----------------3-----------------3----|
G----------------2-----------------2----|
D-------2--------0--------2--------0----|
A-------2-----------------2-------------|
E--3^---0---3^-------3^---0---3^--------|

Then play
Riff B four times
Riff C once
Riff D twice

Riff D
e------------------------------------|
B------------------------------------|
G------------------------------------|
D------------------------------------|
A--------5-------------0--5----------|
E--0--3------3--0---3--------3--(0)--|

Then play
Riff B four times
Riff C once
Riff D once
Riff C once
Riff D once
Riff A twice

Next comes the solo. I did the rhtyhm part, but I was too lazy to do the
solo, because Joe Perry is a very sloppy player, and especially in this solo.

Solo Rhythm - play 3 times

D D A E E E E D D A E E E E
e------------------------------|------------------------------------------|
B------------------------------|------------------------------------------|
G--7---7---2-------------------|----------------7--7--2-------------------|
D--7---7---2-------------------|--6--6---5--4---7--7--2-------------------|
A--5---5---0------2---2--2--2--|--7--7---6--5---5--5--0------2---2--2--2--|
E-------------3^--0---0--0--0--|-------------------------3^--0---0--0--0--|

D--------------9-\-2-|--------------9-\-|-------------9-\-2-|-------------2--|
A--------------7-\-0-|--------------7-\-|-------------7-\-0-|-------------0--|
E--------------------|------------------|-------------------|----------------|

Then play
Riff D four times

Then after that there's a second solo where he just plays riff D throughout
pretty much of the solo. It's pretty easy to figure out what he's doing after
this spot, but I haven't heard the song in a while so I can't remember.

Reefer Head Woman(from NIGHT IN THE RUTS)-

I don't have much of this at all, only what I think is the opening/signature riff. I'm posting it because I think it's better than nothing. I should be able to add more later, though. You're welcome to beat me to it if you can.

intro(it sounds like a wah on the opening note. Maybe used as filter?)-
