The May 1991 issue of GFTPM says that this song is in "open D" tuning. Since
I'm not really familiar with open D, I just transcribed it in drop D. Those of
you familiar with open D can make amends when(and if) necessary.

As usual, you're on your own with the timing.

yeah, as far as the chord progressions go, they aren't power chords...a
friend of mine figured it out. brad's got all his strings dropped
(D,G,C,F,A,D) and the first chord is:

i'm not sure what joe plays...but it works out cool if the other guitarist
is in dropped D (D,A,D,G,B,E) and keeps the low D open while following the
root notes of the chord progression:

(low 3 strings)
D-0--0--0--0--0--
A-x--0--2--3--5--and so on, up the fretboard for the last part
D-5--0--0--0--0--
G A B C D

as far as joe being in open D (from Gtr. Mag), i think they meant for the
little slide part in the beginning...of course, open D is (D,A,D,F#,A,D) so
it might work in both open & dropped tunings cause the first 3 strings are
the same.
i'm pretty sure brad's part is all dropped...watch the video, and if he has
more than one guitar lined up, it is...i think joe's in dropped D, cause he
used the same guitar for the whole set & probably did't have time to retune
all his strings
