The Beauty and the Beast. She is both.

The beautiful and dangerous erotic dancer at the Snake Pit. She is the first replicant retired by Deckard. She is smart enough to understand his deceit and tries to strangle him, but the arrival of other persons force her to flee. Joanna Cassidy played Zhora and many other characters in several movies, such as: Bullit, The Outfit and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Regarding Zhora, she said: "Zhora was a renegade fighting against powerful men. She wanted different things and didn't accept to belong to an inferior social class. Zhora was an independent person. Pre-Nexus-6 replicants were not programmed as Zhora. They hadn't any thoughts about their short life. But this didn't happen to the Nexus-6 replicants. I symphatized with them. One of the things which struck me most was her snake. I myself have some of them. I like them. I soon realized that I was the perfect actress for the role, thanks to my ability with snakes and my good physical shape.
