The museum offers the possibility to journey into the history of the valley and documents its ways of life, its economy and shows how they were changed by the time.

The authentic reconstitution of rooms within a typical home, takes us back to the times when stories were told in front of the hearth whilst the fire glowed and warmed its occupants.

In the detached section, an exhibition of period tools tells about the hard work of the peasants and demonstrates their close contact with nature.

The school and its old benches
with ink in their inkpots.

The bed and the scent of cinder dried washing.

The fascination of a warm hearth.

A memory far away, working to make the cheese.

Toiling in the fields:
The plough and the hoe, for a soft earth,
ready for sowing.

The wine cellar:
A reservoir greedy of good things.

Sheaf after sheaf, harvesting the grain.

Sleighs, ropes and hatchets:
The hard job in the forests.

Open every Saturday and Sunday afternoon from June to September and upon request.
