Alessia Aldobrandini ( Lucca, 21-2-1702) seems to have been married to a wealthy
man,a noble. She met Weiss as a young girl, when he was in Rome and
was given some lessons by him. We can guess she fell in love with the Baroque lute.
so this is the reason why she wrote for this instrument and not for the
"arciliuto."
She probably met Joachim Sautscheck when he visited Italy, and I suppose she had a very good reason to dedicate the piece to him.
We don't know much more for the time being, apart from the reading of
her natal chart ( astrological), which is very interesting. She was very
charming and was a woman of power, she had many friends abroad and a clever
husband
.
