The oldest PDA did not allowed the user to modify the Operating System of his device
so that he had to buy a new one to have the last updated unit.
This was, obviously, too expensive so that the producers started to use, instead of the
usual ROM (Read only Memory) a type of Memory (EPROM) allowing the user to load
on it an updated version of the O.S. when available.
This solved the original problem but, at the same time, created a lot of others problems
to solve. One is the correct execution of a such critical operation (you may block your
Pda if something go wrong) but the first is surely to find the correct update for your
device, when and if delivered by the producer.
The following list of Links will allow you to quickly connect to various producers' sites
to find the Rom update/upgrade if released for your Pda unit.
The available Rom files are proprerty of each producer that owns the relative licence to distribute the
copywrighted O.S. so you will find here common links only and in no cases direct downlodable files.
The rules for use, informations, instructions to follows are only the ones that you will find into the pages
pointed by the links. In no case the author of this page may be considered responsable for damages or
data's lost or whatever problem that may arise from the use of the page's links.

Update - means to fully substitute the current Rom with same updated O.S.
Upgrade-means to fully substitute the current Rom with a new O.S.
