Enrico
Sacchi
Enrico Sacchi was born in Pavia, in 1971. He received the "laurea" degree
in Electronic Engineering in 1995 at the University
of Pavia, Pavia, Italy. His graduation
thesis, developed in STMicroelectronics
was about an integrated device (SLIC) for communication. In December
1999 he received the Ph.D. degree from the University
of Pavia, with a thesis (Building
Blocks for Highly Integrated CMOS RF Receiver) developed in cooperation
with the Microelectronics Lab and the
Microwave Lab of the same University.
Since March 1999 he is with Studio
di Microelectronica, a cooperation between University
of Pavia and STMicroelectronics.
Here he is working on the analog design of CMOS RFICs for wireless applications.
Since 1998 he is a IEEE
Member.
Since october 2000 he is a Visiting Industrial Fellow at the EECS Department
of the University of California
at Berkeley.
Here he is involved in the project of a CMOS DCS1800 transmitter based on cartesian feedback technique;
in particular he is designing an high linear downconversion mixer and an integrated directional coupler based on
spiral transformers".
He now is back to "Studio di Microelettronica" where he is working on high
performance analog RF front--end for WLAN application.
