Sant'Andrea fuori le Mura in Rimini - anteprima - prewiew
Nel 1863 lo storico e archeologo Luigi Tonini individuò, durante alcuni scavi presso una antica porta cittadina, i resti della distrutta chiesa riminese dedicata ai SS. Andrea, Giustina e Donato, scomparsa ormai da alcuni secoli.
Grazie a questi scavi fu possibile disegnare la pianta della chiesa e furono reperite parti dell’antico arredo nonché un reliquiario argenteo che ancora si conservava inserito nell’altare*. Questi oggetti si trovano ancora nel Museo della Città (perlomeno si spera).
Sulla base di questi ritrovamenti- disegnati in parte da Rohault de Flèury nel 1879 - nonché di un tentativo di ricostruzione grafica dell’edificio risalente agli anni ’60, l’autore si proverà a realizzare un’immagine in 3d della chiesa.
Data quindi la scarsità dei dati certi, chiaramente questa immagine avrà un significato altamente ipotetico.
*Non risulta a chi scrive che l’importanza del ritrovamento del reliquiario sia mai stata veramente sottolineata. Alla sua presenza si deve certamente la ragione di esistere della chiesa nonché la sua pianta. Si spera comunque di avere occasione di riprendere il discorso.
In 1863, thanks to some digs near an ancient gate of the town -wall, the historician and archaeologist Luigi Tonini could identify the plan of the riminese church of Sant’Andrea, Giustina e Donato; it had been destroyed around four centuries before.
During the digs he drew the plan of the church and found out parts of the ancient furnishings. He could also recover a silver reliquary that had been inserted in the altar*. Part of these rests were drawn by Rohault de Fléury in 1879. They are in the town museum still today (or anyway we hope so).
These few elements will be the base of the attempt to get some 3d pictures of the church that, of course, in this case, will have a hightly hypothetical meaninig.
*The author of these notes doesn’t know any study or essay about the importance of the find of the reliquiary. Its presence was certanily the reason of the same building of the church and of its shape. We hope anyway to continue this speech in the future.
