Qualche mese fa Ida Parigi, presentatami da un amico comune, mi chiese di frequentare il mio studio e mi mostrò alcuni suoi quadri desiderando un parere. Tutte copie di opere di Van Gogh. Il fatto inizialmente mi sconcertò.
In genere si è portati a valutare le copie di capolavori con minore interesse. Quando cominciò a venire allo studio, e la vidi lavorare, mi resi conto che aveva acquistato una sorprendente padronanza della tecnica del grande pittore e con maestria copiava i suoi dipinti.
