Chapati & puris Do you want recipe for 'chapati' or do you want it for deep fried 'puris'. For the chapati the recipe is very simple. Make the dough from whole wheat flour (just like the pastries except dont' put any butter in the dough) cut the dugh in small pieces and roll the pieces round and bake it on a flat skillet both sides one by one (press it a little bit all over for it blow up both sides should look cooked) butter on one side and eath. For the puries you must make the dough like the pastry with some butter (ough should be a little harder than the pastry) Take a tablespoon of dough, roll it round. In a deep fryer, put enough oil for the puri to submerge (press lightly with a spoon to fluff it up - the oil must be very hot) turn on the other side and keep stirring until somewhat brown. Then remove it from the oil and place it on a kitchen paper towel to remove the excess oil. I have never provided recepies of bread so it is hard to give you the exact amounts, but I am sure if yu have been making pie crust or pastries it should be easy to follow the above.
