BIKE ARTICLES - This web page of the British woman Myra Van Inwegen contains a list of interesting articles covering at least some of the most frequently asked questions. How to buy a new bike, cold weather riding, opinions on clipless pedals, maintenance tips, saddle height and many other. The page is just made of text articles with some small pictures so it's fast and easy to browse.
BIKE-AUCTION.COM - An unusual site: it's a free online auction just for bikes. You can find both complete mountain bikes and components, accessories and gear. Everyone can contribute freely. The site is fast and easy to browse also thanks to a search engine. It is well organized but the quantity of items is actually limited even if I hope it will grow soon. Actually it is limited to US, UK and Australia.
BIKE CLUB MANAGER - This unique site on the Net allows to each and every bike club of the world to enroll for free and take advantage of the site to promote and manage the club's activities and special events. They offer an interface to put info online and to update it whenever it is needed. The site has also a complete program for sponsorhip. The visitor can also search for a specific club.
BIKEINFO - Basically BikeInfo is an extremely interesting database of more than 2,000 1997 MTB models. You have two easy-to-use search interfaces: Bike Search and Bike Matrix. The first allows you to find the right bike for you depending on your purchase criteria such as price, frame material, fork etc. The second is used to find complete specs and price for a given MTB model or a manufacturer's MTB range.
BIKE IT SOLO - A great challenge and a great adventure: riding from Alaska to Argentina in mountain-bike. That was the project of Emmanuel "Manny" Gentinetta. He was the "Youngest man in history to mountain bike the Pan American Highway across the entire length of The America". The site is very complete, rich in details, reports, explanations and photos.
BIKESCAPE - A very interesting site of varied MTB resources: an online marketplace for bikes and components, a directory of U.S. MTB shops, a list of MTB industry sites, an MTB photo gallery open to everyone, reviews of many U.S. trails, an FAQ and other useful and constantly updated information. The site is easy and intuitive to browse with good but never-too-heavy graphics.
BIKE SWAP - A non-profit site for buying and selling used bikes and components. It features a complete database so that it is possible to perform even complex queries to find what you like. The site is nice, easy to use, and very useful for those who are looking for a used bike. Unfortunately it is limited to the U.S. area but I think the information about price and availability can be useful for anyone.
BREAKLOOSE - An interesting and uncommon site where you can swap, buy or sell complete bikes, components and accessories. It offers also various different links and general information on the world of cycling such as riding clubs, forums, shopping. The site is not bad but it is a little too crowded with information that makes it not always easy to navigate.
CUSTOM BIKES - Here is a list of special, custom-made or simply less-known bikes or accessories.
Individual Tire Review Page - This page offers tests of a few major MTB tire models. The information provided is at a good technical level. Unfortunately only a few models are covered.
MAGURA CULT HOMEPAGE - A site made by two fans of Magura (the hydraulic brakes). It is very well done offering many technical and practical information about Magura company and products. You will find here also the answers to many questions that hassle those thinking of hydraulic brake. The site is wide and complete, uses graphics only when necessary and is simple and easy to visit.

PAOLA PEZZO PAGE - This page is devoted to Paola Pezzo, the famous Italian rider who won the gold medal at the Atlanta Olympic Games in the Summer 1996. The page is still in its infancy but I think a tribute to Paola was a nice idea.
SHELDON BROWN'S BICYCLE GLOSSARY - A wide and interesting bicycle glossary. It is easy to browse thanks to quick-jump menus and hyperlinks, includes information also on brand names, offers detailed explanations for the differents terms featuring some nice pictures. Besides the glossary you will find also technical articles related to bikes. The graphics is reduced and therefore the site is fast to load.
THE STOLEN BIKE REGISTRY - This is a very popular page. You can register your stolen bike to increase the chances to find it somewhere. I really wonder (the author does too) how useful it can really be, but, in any case, it's a good idea.
WWW BIKE REPAIR SHOP - A very nice and useful site to help you repair your bike. Full of details, easy to browse and with a nice graphical look.
TRADE A BIKE - A very interesting site for selling and buying bikes and bike frames, components, tools, rack, gear and accessories. Besides these main groups, it features a well-done search engine. You can also register and create your profile with personal information. The site is completely free and easy to use but now it's almost empty being at the very beginning, I guess.
