BODY - The main trouble given by this model comes from the cables that connect the arms to the body. The rubber tubes in the kit are absolutely useless, if you want to move the arms of your model. So I used a couple of 1,5 mm springs instead, but this change gave me the problem of how to insert them correctly in the body housing without compromising the movement. Fortunately the arm joint is separated from the external surface of the body, so I could cut off all the plastic that close laterally the body without touching the arm connection, creating a much larger space. The springs were later housed in the new opening created between the arm joint and upper surface of the body. This way the arm can move in every direction. The lower part of the body is completely missing in this model and had to be constructed with plasticard. The skirts were made mobile by cutting them from the body and then connecting them again using iron and copper wire, fixed to the new mobile parts. The wires were threaded in new holes drilled in the body new lower surfaces. I also added a beam sword in a small holster behind the backpack (an almost invisible location).

ARMS - The arms were left as they were except for the new connections for the springs, made with small holes inside each forearm.

LEGS - I changed the connection of the legs to the body, using two B-joint, fixed to the newly constructed lower body part. To match the original connection proportions, the two B-joints in the upper thighs were mounted angled upward and protruding for about 2 mm. I also had to modify the lower part of the leg to permit a wider range of movement to the feet. I cut off frontally about 5 mm of plastic and continued cutting laterally, following the new lower leg edge profile. The feet soles were also modified to be like the original design, included in the instructions. A few exhaust holes were drilled open to complete the part.

PAINTING -  For this model I used some old Humbrol enamels. Unfortunately they are no longer in production and I don't know which paint they were substituted with.  The camouflage is made with Mottle Green (HUMBROL HI1), Schwarzgrun 70 (HUMBROL HG1), while Copper (HUMBROL 12) was used for all the cables.

WEATHERING - Some black wash for the exhausts and silver for edges and worn out parts.
