ARMS - The main modifications of this model were made on the upper part of the arms and, being the kit so small, they reminded me of clockwork repairs instead of model making. In this kit the shoulder, shoulder covers and the upper arms are all joined together in a single piece when they should be all separated and mobile, blocking the lateral movement of the arm. So from this single block of plastic three different pieces, connected one on the other but movable, must come out. First of all, I cut away the arm from the shoulder cover and also the secondary cover from the main one. The small vernier inserted in the shoulder cover was completely eliminated in this stage. Then I reconstructed the shoulder using plasticard and inserting a female small B-joint in the new released cavity. This new shoulder has two holes, where the shoulder cover, now glued together and reinforced with plasticard, can be articulated through new pivot pins made with copper wire. Two other holes were made in the shoulder cover to house the copper pins of the secondary covers, that now can move up and down, allowing a wider movement to the arm. Finally the vernier in the shoulder cover was replaced with a small piece of plasticard tube, appropriately modified. The hands, very small and ugly, were refined and enlarged little using thin plasticard and putty.

LEGS - On the upper legs the swords housings were enlarged and the swords handles replaced with slightly bigger and longer pieces of sprue. On the lower legs, the big air intakes were cut open along with the air intakes on the feet. Other details were also added on the feet soles.

WEAPONS - This mobile suit has a wide variety of weapons, many of which are energy based. The energy effect has been rendered in the model with transparent plastic, except for the energy fans. I corrected this fact, changing the energy emission of the fan, rendered with opaque plastic, with as large piece of colored transparent plastic, taken from an old shirt box.

PAINTING - I used Humbrol enamels. The main colours are Sand (HUMBROL MATT 63), Intermediate Blue (HUMBROL 144), a mix of Dark Grey ( HUMBROL MATT 32) and Black (HUMBROL MATT 33) and Gun Metal (HUMBROL 53). The model was finished with Humbrol Satin Cote.

WEATHERING - I involuntarily used a dirty brush to distribute the final varnish. The effect was that of a slightly dark wash, not at all bad. So I kept it.
