Giunta sulla terra dal mondo di Guardian con il compito di recuperare il "Trono di Yord", Tiara deve ben presto fare i conti con una situazione imprevista: il ladro che ha sottratto il prezioso artefatto altri non è altri che Kagetsu, suo antico amore, senza contare che anche la sua amica-rivale Lena sembra in qualche modo coinvolta e più che mai decisa ad ostacolarla. La serie è stilisticamente ineccepibile e molto gradevole nei contenuti: siamo in un genere molto simile alle cosiddette "majokko", anche se dai toni (e dagli ammiccamenti) decisamente più adulti. Imperdibile, se vi piace il genere, senza contare che Lena è doppiata dalla grandissima Debora Magnaghi (Sailor Mercury), una delizia per le orecchie!

Tiara landed on earth with the task to re-conquer "Yord's throne", but she has to face an unexpected situation: the thief who abstracted the precious masterpiece is Kagetsu, her previous love, and, furthermore, her rival-friend Lena seems to be somehow involved and very determined in hindering her. This series is stylistically unexceptionable and its contents are very pleasant: it is a kind of "majokko", even if it uses decidedly more adult tones (and gives more adult winks). Don't miss it, if you like this genre, and remind that Lena is dubbed by the great Debora Magnaghi (Sailor Mercury), delicious for your ears!

2ND IMPRESSION
La seconda videocassetta di Shamanic Princess, contenente gli Oav 3 e 4, ha molto deluso le mie aspettative: si concludono le vicende legate al furto del trono di Yord, ma la storia assume una piega decisamente banale, inficiando in parte tutte le stuzzicanti premesse introdotte nei primi due episodi. La qualità delle animazioni e del doppiaggio rimane alta, ma questo non basta certo a risollevare una storia che tende decisamente verso il risaputo: mi auguro che gli ultimi due episodi elevino un poco il tutto, altrimenti difficilmente supererò il rammarico di essere caduto come un pollo nella trappola di un trailer accattivante..... 

The second videocassette of Shamanic Princess, which contains Oav 3 and 4, disappointed my expectations: the vicissitudes connected with the theft of York's throne are completed, but afterwards the plot becomes very commonplace, partially deluding the stimulating features introduced in the first two episodes. The animation and dubbing are first quality, but this certainly not enough to lift up a story which tends to become trivial: I hope that the last two episodes will improve the quality, or I will hardly recover from falling into the trap of an appealing trailer…

3RD IMPRESSION
Purtroppo i miei timori si sono rivelati pienamente giustificati! La terza videocassetta, contenente gli Oav 5 e 6 conferma l'impressione avuta dopo la visione della seconda ed è un vero peccato! Gli ultimi due capitoli presentano l'inizio della storia conclusasi al 4° Oav, introducendo finalmente tutti i vari personaggi e le ragioni del loro agire: purtroppo la visione che offre è piuttosto superficiale e non aiuta a comprendere veramente scopi e sentimenti dei vari personaggi, tranne forse che per Tiara, la protagonista.
In sostanza i 6 Oav di Shamanic Princess si presentano come assai validi solo dal punto di vista prettamente grafico, mentre a livello di trama la faccenda è abbastanza sconsolante: peccato!

Unfortunately, my concerns turned out to be right! The third videocassette, containing Oav 5 and 6, confirmed the impression I gained watching the second one, and it is a great pity! The last two chapters present the beginning of the story which finishes in the 4^th Oav, finally introducing all the characters and the reasons on which they base their behaviour: unluckily, the vision it offers is rather superficial, and is not of great help in really understanding the purposes and feelings of the various characters, maybe except for Tiara, the main character. In substance, the six Oav of Shamanic Princess are very interesting only from the graphic point of view, while the plot is really disappointing. What a pity!
