HIGH SCHOOL: Played QB

POSITIVES: Has outstanding quickness, good technique and has a feel for running routes. His lack of height doesn’t seem to prevent him, and is a big threat. A tough competitor. Elusive when he has the ball, and is a good blocker for his size. Improved his status by a good Combine and Senior Bowl.

NEGATIVES: Undersized is biggest worry, though it didn’t effect him in college. Lacks speed, shows more quickness than pure speed. Drops a few catches. Losses concentration at times.

COMMENTS: A productive college player and will be a return man and a number four receiver.

POSITIVES: Has good size. Possesses a massive leap, is athletic and very agile. Good speed and experienced, being a three year starter. Has a nose for the ball, with 14 int in his college career, 11 in the past two seasons. An average tackler. Has some potential.

NEGATIVES: Inconsistency hurts him a lot, plays brilliantly one week, poorly the next. Needs to hit the weight room.

COMMENTS: Played an awesome game against Florida State last year, which helped his stock, but needs to play at that level more often.

POSITIVES: Has great work ethic, very competitive and has good instincts. Smart. Has good speed, and never gives up and plays hard. Determined to succeed. Has a good technique. An over-achiever.

NEGATIVES: Gets overpowered and struggles when being blocked. Struggles versus the run. Doesn’t play as smart or as strong as his stats.

COMMENTS: His catching will complement Greg Clark’s blocking.

COMMENTS ABOUT DAY 2:
Drafted guys that could be surprise packets, rather than guys that will be solid backups. Wilson might not be the KR that the niners are looking for. Johnson though could be a nice surprise. Lincoln is the only assured solid backup.
