Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops told the Daily Oklahoman that the 49ers contacted him, but that he is not interested in the job.

The 49ers currently are investigating college coaches, including Oregon State's Dennis Erickson and Washington's Rick Neuheisel. Three NFL coaches -- 49ers defensive coordinator Jim Mora Jr., Jets defensive coordinator Ted Cottrell and Bears defensive coordinator Greg Blache -- were assured Sunday that they were still candidates.

A decision is expected to be made this week.
