Freeze your program completely
By: Francis J. Loh Date: 15/10/1998

This small article describes how to freeze your program completely. This may be used to wait for an external process or just to insert a delay but it's not suitable if you want to stop until your app performs something (for doing this, see Waiting for a delay time).

Start with adding the following API declaration in a public module:

Declare Sub Sleep Lib "kernel32" Alias "Sleep" (ByVal dwMilliseconds As Long)

Where you want to freeze the program, use this instruction:

milliseconds is the time to wait for (in milliseconds). For example Sleep(3000) will freeze for 3 seconds.
