Well... this character comes from an Italian feast celebrated the 6th of January. In the night betwin the 5th and the 6th the Befana arrive and bring sweets to the good childs and coal to the bad ones... this figure is very similar to Santa Claus but celebrate the arrive of the Magi (the 6th of January) and fly on a broom, looks like an ugly witch but is agood and poor woman wich wear poor clothes.
