These plates are designed to connect the Meade standard wedge
to a permanent pier.
Notes:
- all measures are in centimetres and are approximate: check your wedge
- the material is aluminium, the thickness is 1.5 cm
- the purple holes of the inferior plate are for the screw bolts at the
top of the pier
- the red dotted line of the superior plate must point to north with good
approximation: to get this result you have to check and turn the position
of the purple holes
- the gray holes let you to connect the two plates, this way you can adjust
the horizontality of the superior one
- the green hole is for the central pivot of the wedge
- the blue holes must be threated to accept a ø8mm screw to fix the
wedge at the plate
- the little gray plate at the left side of the superior one is designed
to attach the azimuth control of the wedge: I have joined this little plate
by two small screws (not displaied in the drawing)
- the little hole in the bottom left of the superior plate is made to hang
the LX200 keypad
- the four yellow holes of the inferior plate let you connect the two little
plates for accessories
