Additional info for the connection to SBlive! (Full, Player 1024, Value) and AudioExcel AV511

It went necessary to develope a special pin adapter board because meanwhile there are a couple of new sound cards on the market and every card is equipped with a different digital pin port. You should find this board (picture 1) delivered with your POAB, POCAB, POFP or TOSSet if you ordered december 1999 or later.

 

 

The ribbon cable going off the little board has got a 14 pin plug at its end which should be connected to to our digital sound adapter boards (POAB, POCAB, POFP, ...).
The following pictures should illustrate how the pin adapter is pluged to the soud cards.

 

During the fitting of the sound card to your computer you should try to leave some spare room between the pin adapter and neighbour PCI cards. Although the back side of the pin adapter is covered by a protective layer a little distance is better anyway.
