Dopo aver inciso l'album "The Works" con i Queen, Roger Taylor presenta il suo secondo album da solista, "Strange Frontier".
Il disco ha raggiunto il trentesimo posto delle classifiche britanniche e comprende due brani di due autori classici ammirati dal batterista dei Queen:
"Racing in the street" di Bruce Springsteen
"Master of war" di Bob Dylan
Tuttavia l'album non trovò un grande apprezzamento da parte del pubblico nonostante presenti ottimi spunti musicali.
