With the new schedule, teams will play all nondivision opponents every three years, and every AFC team will play every NFC team once every four years. And a team's record from the previous year will have less of a bearing on its upcoming schedule, since only two of the 16 games will be based on the previous year's standings.
The NFL will announce dates in early
spring.
