E' l' album di esordio, in cui i Clash sfoderano tutta la loro rabbia punk, che è notevole in alcuni testi come "London 's burning", oppure "I 'm so bored with the U.S.A.". Il punk sarà solo uno dei tanti generi trattati da Strummer e company, ma questo album lascia un segno indelebile nella musica di fine anni '70.
