project called "Nemesis". The line-up is :

The band begins to play in the
outskirts with this components and partecipates in some local
musical events with good results. The lyrics are in Italian .The
band is renamed "Algophobia".
After about one year, Stefano De Cesaris quits
and is replaced by Fabio
Bottazzo (formerly lead
guitar with Furious Barking until 1993). The band develops a new
style and composes new songs. Lyrics are now in English. Five of
this songs are published in a demo-tape called "Dreams"(1994).
Line-up is G. Agostini on drums, A. Iobetti on bass, A. Olori on
vocals and F. Bottazzo on guitars. The work is voted top demo-tape
of the month in December 1994 by the Italian major metal magazine
"Metal Shock". L. Maurizi
rejoins the band. New material is composed, recorded and released on
"Lying
the truth"(1995),
the band's second demo-tape, again with good appreciation by the
audience and positive criticism. Gabriele
Rustichelli, formerly vocalist in Darkover replaces
Alessandro
Olori, the old vocalist. With the new
line-up the two demo-tapes are reissued in a single tape edition.
Many live performances follow with some great and famous italian
metal bands such as Detestor, Schizo
and Sadist drawing many praises. Finally,
the japanese label Lard Records
releases "Algophobia"(1997-Pargan
music) the band's first CD with newly recorded songs from the first
two demo-tapes and five new compositions (10 tracks and about 53
minutes of music). At this point, this limited edition is no longer
available now. The recording is made with Filippo Girardi
on bass, after A. Iobetti's departure. "Vibration of Peace"
("Algophobia"-1997) is also chosen and released in the
"Dawn of Gods II"
compilation. Live performances are supported by Luca Riga
on bass (from Land of Pain). Alessandro
Butti ( from Hypnosis) replaces Luca
Maurizi. With this new line up, Algophobia play with Sinister
at Indhastria (Giulianova-TE) and also many other
gigs, such as the Marina di Pisa's festival with many italian metal
groups. Because of line up problems the band is forced to stop its
activity until 1999 when F. Bottazzo restarts the project with the
following line-up:
Fabio
Bottazzo: guitar
Domenico
Capriotti: bass
Giordano
Di Marco: drum
Luisio
Dezi : vocals
Algophobia's
members are now ready for new releases. The collection of "Dreams"
and "Lying the Truth" is still available.
