Interview with René
René's interview on TVA
Here is what René said yesterday on TVA after the polemics for his request to
retreat 200.000 copies of the magazine "7 jours":
Journalist:
Usually isn't there an agreement with the magazines about the
title?
René:
Yes, sometimes there's this kind of agreement with the magazine
and the journalist. Clearly this time there wasn't an agreement and I found it
exaggerated.
Journalist:
And why it didn't happen in this case?
René
: I don't know why, maybe because the person realized that it was a
sensationalist title and if she had told us, we hadn't agreed with her. I don't
understand why this magazine which had the exclusive has chosen the sensational
way. I found it a thing of bad taste and taken out of context. It's just gutter
press.
Journalist:
So you were shocked. Haven't you been surprised by the
explanation of Céline, specially about the clinical side of the matter? Didn't
you find her too much candid about the subject?
René:
Not at all, I know the sincerity and the spontaneity of Céline.
I've seen the interview and I think it's her best one. Even if I live with her
24 hours each day, I've been surprised and amazed. Often when we live with
somebody we can't see her in this way, but listening to her during the interview
has positively surprised me.
Journalist:
If you didn't like the title of "7 Jours", what do you
think of the article of "Le Devoir", there they write "René
Angélil, the obsession of control, the man who kills the covers". You have
been described as a despot. Are you surprised about the reaction of the
journalists?
René:
Yes, I am, but I find it very funny (he laughs). We don't control
anything, and the proof is the fact that they said everything about us. Not only
in Québec, but all over the world. Everything... we have no control.
Journalist:
However you succeeded in taking back 200.000 copies, it's a
control anyway, isn't it?
René:
For once I suggested and I had the time to speak with the
responsible, the owner TVA. Besides they had the same reaction. I can't
understand why the journalists get angry. We have no control on what they write
about us.
Journalist:
Thanks a lot for having given us your time..
René:
By the way! Don't forget to see the programme. After all, we made
it for the fans who hadn't the opportunity to see Céline. And to do a kindness
to Michel Jasmin who gave her first chance, just for this reason. We haven't
wanted money for this programme.
More news:
Céline Dion, who confessed with Michel Jasmin, during the interview
"Exclusively
Céline" broadcasted this night on TVA, admits that she doesn't miss the
show business. The singer takes advantage of the presence of her parents and of
her pregnancy.
Speaking frankly, Céline Dion says that show business doesn't represent to her
eyes the real life.
She admits as well that during the last apparitions she didn't feel at her ease.
The singer says also some technical details used by the doctors who permitted
her to get pregnant.
She describes the delicate technique to fertilize her ovules in laboratory
before inserting in her ovaries.
She adds that her baby, who will born in two months, has a "twins of
laboratory".
Céline wants to record two new album, in French and English, when her baby will
be 1 years old or 18 months. The real return on sage will be in four further
years.
René will became grandfather as well! Her daughter Anne Marie Angelil is

Articles
René Angelil makes
7 Jours
to change a title with a phone call
René Angélil, husband and manager of Céline Dion stopped the press and the
distribution of 200.000 copies of the new issue of the magazine "7
Jours"
because he found sensationalist and with bade taste. According to the Canadian
Presse, the magazine with the greatest circulation in Québec has been reprinted
with a new title and without the false mention of exclusive pictures. The title
was: "Céline: my son has already a twin". It's been changed into:
"Céline at open heart".
Why a twin? Well, it seems that during the interview with M. Jasmin, Céline
should have revealed to have another fertilized ovule, frozen in a fertility
clinic in New York. According to Céline, it doesn't mean that they are
necessary twins: it means that they have been conceived at the same time. The
interview issued to Jasmin by the singer will be broadcasted next Sunday at 7:00
PM on TVA.

Céline Dion would like to be fertilized with another frozen embryo
Montreal
- Pregnant, at seventh month, Céline Dion has revealed that
during her assisted fecundation, another embryo has been frozen in a laboratory
near New York and maybe she foresees to receive it and to bring it to an end.
"There is another one in laboratory. We have a baby in my big tummy and
there's another one in laboratory, frozen after five days", she admits
innocently during the one hour and half interview and that she concede to the
presenter Michel Jasmin; this exclusive interview is for Canada and it will be
broadcasted next Sunday at 7:00 PM on TVA.
"Well, here I have a twi...They say "laboratory twin";
technically they call him "twin". It doesn't mean that he is an
identical twin, but that he's been conceived at the same time of the baby born
after the first fecundation", Madame Dion says shining.
The singer, in a sabbatical retreat, declares her will to have another baby. She
underlines her interest for this second embryo that she wants to have inside her
in the future, if it's possible to keep it for so long. "Another baby? Yes,
because we have another baby waiting for us in New York at the moment. It's sure
that I couldn't live knowing that he is there", she says.
The star says not to have chosen yet the name of the child, but she'd like a
name which includes the name of "René", her husband and manager. The
birth is foreseen on 14th February.
The greatest challenge for her will be to grow her child in way to keep both
feet on the ground, even living in the richness and in the superfluous show
business.
She hopes he will wait the bus at the corner of the street to go to school, as
she did in Charlemagne, but she already knows that it will be impossible. She
hopes, however, that he'll be able to go to school without the bodyguards.
With an incredible purity, the singer describes with details the technique of
assisted procreation.
She is happy, thin, with the oval face just little rounder. During the
interview,
automatically, often she takes her hands on the big tummy and she admits to
adore to be pregnant. She is not in a hurry to give birth to the child, as she
feels so much the fetus inside her.
Céline Dion is clearly happy. She admit not to feel the lack of the anxious
life of the show business. She underlines, almost sad, that an year has gone by
after her retreat.
It was the right time to retreat. In the those last days in Montreal, for the
show of 31 December 1999, she was "out" as she was tired. She was a
real automaton. "I was completely empty".
Céline Dion hopes to come back on stage when her child will be at least 1 year
or 18 months. But she wants to spend with him at least his first year.
She's already thinking something about her return and she ensures that she'll
record another French album and an English album. She's planning "some
extraordinary things never done before".
Toward the end of the interview, her husband and manager, René Angelil appears.
He explains why the couple has been tactful about the pregnancy, as they didn't
want they transformed it into a big circus. Angelil didn't enjoy the presence of
the photographers inside the courtyard to take a picture of the big tummy of
Céline.
He changed idea toward the end of the seventh month because "the people
want to see her at least once before the birth". The interview has been
recorded last week in Dion-Angelil house at Palm Beach.
The interview, given to the French M. Drucker, has been recorded on the same
day, but it will be broadcasted only at the beginning of January.

Céline: the return on stage is not so far?
(Taken from TVA, from the interview with Michel Jasmin)
Michel Jasmin explains that he was talking with Céline about a possible return
on stage.
Céline:
I can't say to be at this point.
Michel:
Seeing you, it seems yes.
Céline:
Do you think so?
Michel:
Oh, yes!
Céline:
Yes, I feel better. I've never felt so good, this is sure. I
needed so much time even if I often say myself: "Almost an year has gone
by,
my God, from the retreat, and now I have not so much time".
Michel:
When you say “I have not so much time", do you mean that...
Céline:
Well, it's necessary to begin again, because I want to begin
again, this is sure.
Michel:
Is it sure?
Céline:
Yes, it's sure... I want to get on the stage again. There are
things I can't tell you because we are working on them, but it's sure that I'll
get on stage again. And it's sure, there will be a French and an English record,
as always.
Michel:
Are there concrete things you are talking about?
Céline:
Yes, we are preparing them. But more than speaking, we are
working on some ideas.
Michel:
With which term?
Céline:
Things we have never done.

Céline on "7 Jour Magazine"
The Canadian weekly magazine
7 Jour Magazine
brings out the next
interview with Michel Jasmin, that will be broadcasted on TVA (Canadian network)
tomorrow at 7:00 PM local time.
The news appear on the cover with a controversial title: "Mon fils a deja
un jumeau" ("My baby has already a twin"), title which made
disappointment. René Angelil called Raynald Briere, the manager of TVA,
expressing his rage for the cover of the magazine, now controlled by the
Canadian network TVA. The title, Angelil says, is not harmonious with the
interview, where Céline, as Francine Chaloult says (spokesperson of the singer),
has never said the word "twins". In reply to René, the manager made
destroy and reprint 200.000 copies of the magazine.
During the interview with Jasmin, she says she wants to start again her career
when her child will be one year old, and that she's thinking about new projects
for a French and an English album.

Céline on TVA
Michel Jasmin says about Céline (interviewed a few days ago): "Who I've
met last week in her house in Florida is a shining woman. A bright woman, happy
and proud for her so awaited pregnancy.
You'll be able to see it yourselves, next Sunday, 17th December at 7:00 PM, when
you'll see the one hour and half conversation with Céline Dion. During this
occasion you'll receive her best wishes, expressed specially for you".
["I take the opportunity to wish you season's greetings, a happy new year,
a happy Christmas and, above all, good health! See you! Goodbye!"]
Again about the exclusive interview with Jasmin, here is another article taken
from another site of the TVA network:
Exclusivament Céline
M. Jasmin had an encounter with Céline Dion.
During this interview, the star will say in confidence about her new life, about
her perception and about the role of mother. She will trace a balance of her
career and she'll speak about her future.
Céline Dion, who has always demonstrated her fidelity to her first loves, will
show it once again to M. Jasmin and to the audience of the TVA network for the
whole Canada, conceiving her exclusive interview to the country.
This encounter will be broadcasted at 7:00 PM, Sunday 17th December.
M. Jasmin has an important position in the court of the couple Dion-Angelil,
because he's been the first presenter to make known in Québec the young singer
who will shine in a few years among the greatest stars. (

Other news about Céline interview
Céline confidences
Montreal - Céline wants to have other babies, but she'd have been pregnant with
three children this time. This is just one of the confidences that Céline Dion
told to Michel Jasmin during the interview conceived in her house at Jupiter,
Florida, that will be broadcasted on TVA network next Sunday from 7:00 PM to
8:30 PM.
Céline could have three children, Michel Jasmin told to
Journal de Montreal
,
because, as she said, the doctors gave her the possibilities to fertilize one,
two or three embryos. She has chose to fertilize three embryos to have more
possibilities to be pregnant.
In fact, as we know, only an embryo survived, and he'll be the child that
Céline will give birth on 14th February, but at the beginning all of them could
survive, giving her three children.
Moreover, Michel Jasmin says, “... she told the whole process of the assisted
procreation, everything she went through, the injections, the anguishes, with
all the detail".
“And she does it clearly, otherwise it should be so clinical or voyeur.”
“But it's not so. It's very touching". René after this interview said:
"I know how it happened, but I'm sure that the women who wants to have a
child will go to ask information about this technique".
René Angelil takes part only for 5 of 90 minutes of this long interview, but
Michel Jasmin reveals us that at a certain time, after a advertising break, the
television camera will frame it with tears in his eyes.
"It has just happened a thing that I don't want to tell you, but that I
didn't like as well", Jasmin says.
Maybe it was when Céline says to wish other children in the future, when we
hear something astonishing, as Michel Jasmin says.
“It's an important moment. You'll be surely astonishing. It's so unexpected,
so wonderful".
It's the most important passage of the interview? "No, there are so much
important passages!".
He says that the interview he made with Céline "is above all
emotional".
The interview is so different from the ones given to Michel Drucker during the
morning for the French television, as René Angelil explained to Michel Jasmin,
because during the other interview they though back over Céline career.
"The photographer of Paris Match told me three times in a row that he has
never seen a so emotional interview, that he has never seen Céline Dion under
this point of view and that he has never been so attracted by her
intentions".
"To the persons who still believe that Céline rent an uterus I say that
I've seen her big tummy, I touched it and I felt her baby moving".

husband René Angelil have bought a residence in Rosemere, near Montreal. A
representative of the USA embassy in Ottawa confirmed that who is born in USA
automatically becomes American citizen. For this reason, the baby of the couple
will be American.
Questioned about this matter, Madame Tanguay-Dion said not to have considered
nothing about the birth in Florida of her grandson. The spokesperson of the
Department of Foreign Affairs, Carl Schwenger, said that the couple could asks
the double nationality and to make their child a Canadian citizen asking a
certificate of nationality to a Canadian consulate in USA, or to a Canadian
court who work in citizenship matters.
This year, the couple has renewed marriage promises during a ceremony celebrated
in Las Vegas. Last June, Madame Dion announced to the world to be pregnant.
