ITINERARIO STORICO - TURISTICO

Ci preme precisare a premessa, che  il percorso che vogliamo suggerire si avvale di una prima e sommaria mappatura del territorio, il quale nasconde ancora numerosi tesori da scoprire.

Mentre per le opere pittoriche gli  interventi  di  recupero  della Sovraintendenza, in questi ultimi anni sono stati voluminosi e diretti alla valorizzazione dei pittori locali, diversamente per le opere tessili non esiste ancora una "coscienza" conservativa. In molti casi esse subiscono un costante e progressivo deterioramento; accelerato in parte da fattori ambientali, quali l'esposizione alla luce e all’umidità, agenti inquinati come la presenza di polveri o 1’attacco di insetti e microrganismi, e infine   una consuetudine errata di riporre nei cassetti le tovaglie piegate al posto di arrotolarle.

Ciò ci da il pretesto per auspicare una ulteriore indagine, per compensare le inevitabili carenze informative di tale pubblicazione, sostenuta, magari, dalla Provincia di Macerata, che ci permetta di riportare alla luce prodotti tessili dimenticati nelle sacrestie, nei conventi, nelle cassapanche dei privati.

HISTORICAL-TOURISTIC ITINERARY

It is important for us to specify above-all, that the itinerary we want  to suggest makes use of an initial and compendious mapping of the territory, which still hides numerous treasures to discover.

While for the pictorial works the interventions of restoration by the Sovraintendenza (institution which takes care of the restoration and care of the arts), in these last years have been innumerable and directed towards the valorization of local painters, it has not been so for the textile products for which does not yet exist a “conscience” of conservation. In many cases they undergo a constant and progressive deterioration; accelerated in part by environmental factors, among which the exposure to light and humidity, polluting agents like the presence of dust or insect attacks and micro organisms, and finally an incorrect habit of putting in drawers the folded tablecloths instead rolling them up.

Ali this gives us the occasion to ardently desire a further investigation, to    compensate   the    inevitable insufficiency of information of this publication, supported, perhaps, by the Provincia of Macerata, that permits us to bring back to light textile products forgotten in the sacristies, convents and private chests.
