I was born on August 10 1979, in Palermo, the wonderful capital of Sicily, a town rich in art, history, culture and folklore and a town of great vital force.

High school diploma in Classical Studies at the Umberto I Institute in Palermo.

Degree in Medicine and Surgery Egregia cum Laude with Distinction at the "Alma Mater Studiorum" Bologna University. The thesis has got the dignity of pubblication (title: Apparato cardiovascolare, esercizio fisico, integrazione alimentare e longevità: il sistema nervoso autonomo come apparato di controllo. Studio mediante un'analisi originale della Heart Rate Variability).

I've enriched my schedule with the free courses of Neurobiology, "Fisica Matematica" and "Fisica Superiore". Further I've attended elective courses of Geriatric Psychiatry, Psicosomatic Diseases, Memory's Mechanisms, Psychopharmacology, Clinical Neuropharmacology, Epileptic and Non Epileptic Fits, Clinical Genetics and Genetic Consulting, Ultrasound guided interventional procedures, Exocrine pancreas diseases, Brain aging and cognitive impairment: fundamentals of psychogeriatrics, Reasoned management of the polifarmacotherapy in the elder.

I have a good knowledge of written english and good conversation skills. I have a basic knowledge of portuguese.
