Analysis by Rob Baker, 49ers Clubhouse draft writer:
All-South Atlantic Conference first
team. Another pick that has exceptional work ethic. His coach likened him
to Lee Woodall, both having athletic talent, determination and toughness.
Is an excellent pass rusher, who, if he gets his chance, will help the
niners troubles of getting to the Quarterback immensely. Very agile and
has great acceleration of the snap. Did have shoulder problems in 1998
and was granted a medical Redshirt. Comments: Does need some coaching
to get to the next level, but should be tough enough to be an excellent
back up.
Info
from The Sporting News:
War Room AnalysisThis
late riser has garnered attention because of his workouts. Was productive
against small-school competition. Has some pass-rush skills. Is a straight-line
rusher with a burst. Still learning how to play and has to improve his
technique. Project type.
