Born in Florence in 1966 Sabrina carried out her vocational training under the guidance of M° Aldo Bennici and later specialised under M° Jury Bashmet (Chigiana Academy, Siena)  and Jodi Levitz.

Right from the beginning of her musical career she performed every kind of musical repertory connected to her instrument and immediately showed her particular talent in experimental contemporary music.

She regularly performs both in Italy and abroad with several groups of chamber music (Accademia Bizantina, Gruppo Maderna, E.C.O. Ensemble for contemporary experience, ContempoArtEnsemble, Archæa, Quartetto Michelangelo and Quartetto Novalis).

She has been invited to perform as a soloist at several international festivals, among them,
the International Festival of Contemporary Music of Vilnius (Lithuania), the International Laboratory of Art (Montepulciano), the RomaEuropa Festival, the 2nd Festival of new Italian music, the G.A.M.O.  Festival in Florence, SpazioMusica in Cagliari, the Amici della Musica (Palermo), South Bank Berio Festival (Queen Elisabeth Hall in London), Aspect de la Musique Contemporaine di Caen, the Festival Consequenze of the Rotterdam Arts Council, Percorsi di Musica d'Oggi (Milan), The Società Aquilana dei Concerti, The Guarda l'Europa Festival, Suoni e Colori, Progetto Musica (Rome), Festival "Novecento" for the G.O.G. (Genoa), La Soffitta at the University of Bologna.

 

She performed to the Tisch Center di New York, the O.R.T. Orchestra of Tuscany's season at the Teatro della Pergola (Florence) and also represented Italy with the RAI (National Radio and Television Company) in the NordSud programme on Radio Finland (Helsinky).

In 1993 she carried out the first performance of Luciano Berio's "Sequenza VI" for solo viola at the
Mozarteum in Salzburg, followed immediately afterwards by a repeat performance at the Harvard University in Boston.

She has regularly performed as a soloist with the
RAI National Symphony Orchestra and with the Milan Pomeriggi Musicali Orchestra.

She collaborates with
Tempo Reale's Research Centre in Florence for the experimentation and execution of contemporary music.

She has made records for the "
Ricordi Oggi"  (pieces of music performed live for a monography on Alessandro Sbordoni)  and for the "Arts".

Sabrina is First Viola for the CittàLirica Orchestra (Theatre of Pisa, Lucca, Livorno and Festival Pucciniano) and collaborates with various other orchestras, including the O.R.T. Orchestra of Tuscany, the Academy of S. Cecilia in Rome, the Orchestra of the Teatro dell'Opera in Rome and the Italian International Orchestra.
