Notes:
Lettered in football, basketball and track in high school. Played tight
end as a true freshman in 1996. Moved from tight end to defensive end in
'97 and played in three games before red-shirting after injuring a tendon
in his finger. Saw limited action in '98. Started four times in '99 and
had 43 tackles, seven tackles for loss and two sacks. Moved to tackle in
2000 and won All-Western Athletic Conference honors. Had 54-16-10.
Positives: Good athlete.
Has quickness, agility and some speed. Quick off the ball and is very effective
when he wins with his first move. Has closing speed and a burst. Became
a pretty good pass rusher in 2000, when he made great improvements in his
overall game.
Negatives: Undersized
defensive lineman who never really settled into a position until 2000.
Short for an end and really small for a tackle. Has a hard time taking
on and shedding blockers. Big blockers tend to engulf him.
Summary: Must continue
to improve as much as he did in 2000. Shows good movement skills but is
still not very big and powerful.

Player Bio
A quick and agile end, Holloway
wreaked havoc in opposing backfield for the past two seasons. Initially
a tight end, Holloway switched to defense in '97, but a torn tendon in
his finger forced him to take a medical redshirt that year. After seeing
limited action in '98, he returned in '99 and blossomed into the anchor
of the Miners' defense. Using his quick feet, he penetrated offensive lines
to collect seven tackles for a loss and two sacks. Leading the WAC last
season with 10 1/2 sacks, he displayed the ability to get to quarterbacks.
Holloway is fast for an end and has an excellent burst. He is somewhat
undersized and is not much of factor against the run. He will need to bulk
up without losing quickness to find a spot on an NFL roster. -- Profile

Info
from CBS SportsLine:
Quick athletic pass rusher completed
an excellent senior season that earned him WAC Defensive Player of the
Year honors. Holloway had a dominant season from the outside which was
instrumental in the Miners' success that earned them a Humanitarian Bowl
berth. He has a sturdy frame and fine mobility that has allowed him to
use his excellent strength and leverage to beat much bigger players in
matchups. He shows the quickness on the snap to come off the edge as a
dangerous sack artist and surprises blockers with his deceptive strength
and power. He has the upfield speed and burst to the ball to finish the
play and became a consistent outside threat since late in his junior season.
As a senior, Holloway totaled 56
tackles with 15 TFLs and 10.5 sacks and a league leading 31 hurries and
4 forced fumbles. He is a former walk-on who has a non-stop motor and plays
with intensity, good instincts and nice athletic skills. He has played
big in run support despite his smallish frame, getting fine use of his
quickness and strength to get blockers off balance. He is quick in pursuit
with the ability to chase down runners from behind.
As a junior, he made 2 sacks, 43
tackles and 7 TFLs in five starts, including one at nose tackle. He has
an assortment of pass rushing moves, combining excellent hand use and the
footwork to change directions for additional moves. He will surprise at
the point of attack and has the well rounded skills to become an every
down defender. He is a fast rising defender who is coming off a huge effort
as a senior and is ready for a situational pass rushing role as a rookie.
At the combine, he did a 34.5-inch
vertical leap and did 19 reps. Good late pick with the talent to surprise
and one of the biggest major college sleepers in this class.
