Marc Colombo
Boston College
2001: Started
HIGH SCHOOL: Played defence. Lettered in football, basketball, and baseball Comments: A big time run blocker who is strong and has great footwork. Has good technique, and while he excels in run blocking, he also can protect the QB well.
Joaquin Gonzalez
Miami (Fl)
2001: Started RT
HIGH SCHOOL: Played on the offensive and defensive lines. Lettered in football and track. Honour Student Comments: Has great pass protection skills. Possesses good vision and has great field awareness. Works hard, but may need to hit the weights to have a chance of starting in the NFL
Levi Jones
Arizona St.
2001: Started at LT
HIGH SCHOOL: Played on the defensive line. Lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track Comments: Has great size, speed, strength and blocks well. He does need to work on his consistency and work ethic, though scouts are overlooking his weaknesses and focusing on his strong points instead.
Bryant McKinnie
Miami (Fl)
2001: Started at LT
HIGH SCHOOL: Played on the defensive line Comments: One of, if not the, best player in this years draft. What isnt there to like, perfect size, perfect technique, great awareness, good vision, blocks well in both pass and run protection and works well. The team that picks this stud up will be set for a long, long time.
Victor Rogers
Colorado
2001: Started
HIGH SCHOOL: All-American Comments: Rogers looks to be more of a project player than an automatic starter. He has perfect size and a great ability to block for the rush. He needs to work on his technique and looks uncomfortable at times. One major worry for prospective teams is his injury worries.
Kurt Vollers
Notre Dame
2001: Started
HIGH SCHOOL: Lettered in football, basketball, baseball, and track. Played DL Comments: Has great size, which should help his draft status rise. A hard worker, who has a great technique and is very strong. Can play all over the line.
Langston Walker
California
2001: Started
Comments: Enormous. He is very big and has amazing strength. Excels in run blocking and has good speed for a guy his size. Needs to work on his technique, especially the footwork side of his game.
Tyson Walker
Ohio St.
2001: First Team All Big Ten
HIGH SCHOOL: Played OT and DT Comments: Another OT that has great run blocking skills. A hard worker who trains just as hard as he plays and has impressive speed to match. Wouldnt hurt if he went to the weight room more and packed on a few pounds.
Mike Williams
Texas
2001: Started RT
Comments: Williams is fighting McKinnie for top OT honours. He is a big guy, who does have problems with his weight though, which may hurt his prospects when teams compare McKinnie and himself. Williams though can move the DL with his amazing strength and has great speed for a guy weighing 340 lbs.
Mike Pearson
Florida JUNIOR
2001: Started at LT
HIGH SCHOOL: All-American Comments: Fighting to be the number
2 OT behind either Williams or McKinnie. Has excellent footwork and a great
technique. Needs to improve his run blocking to match is pass protection
skills. A big guy who be visiting Hawaii many times during his career.
